I’m good. I’m talking and everything, even though I’m lying down. But I’m waiting on them to do the surgery. When they’re done, I’m going to get up and do the Stanky Legg for everybody.

mddlovthamap asked: Man Carl Froch dominated that fight after seeing him in the Super 6 and against Andre Ward the more I see him fight the more respect I gain for him as a fighter

Same here!

I used to hate Carl Froch because of his attitude, but he’s a hell of a fighter. He goes out to give an exciting match each time.

That fight also made people realize how good Andre Ward is. Carl Froch had absolutely nothing for Andre.

Tyson 2009 (Full Documentary)

The film ranges from Tyson’s earliest memories of growing up on the mean streets of Brooklyn through his entry into the world of boxing, to his rollercoaster ride in the funhouse of worldwide fame and fortunes won and lost. It is the story of a legendary and uniquely controversial international athletic icon, a figure conjuring radical questions of race and class. In its depiction of a man rising from the most debased circumstances to unlimited heights, destroyed by his own hubris, “Tyson” emerges as a modern day version of classic Greek tragedy.

Timothy Bradley’s father is kind of crazy, and very awesome

“I tell him, ‘Hey,’ I’d start sniffin’ my nose. ‘Do I smell anything?’ ‘You smellin’ shit, Pop?’ ‘No. I smell pussy. I smell pussy. That what you whippin’ out? You gonna be a little bitch? A pussy? Let’s pick it up!’ He’d get madder than hell. He wanna take my head off. But guess what? I’m Pop. And I ain’t meant to be fucked with.”

blackkingsoul asked: Not really a question but; it always surprises me how many black people hate Floyd Mayweather. I've always known that self-hate was rampant in our community, but to the extent that seems to be directed at Floyd is crazy. I had a fight party last weekend and the overwhelming majority of the crowd wanted to see Floyd lose. Despite what people may think of his "Money" persona; he is arguably one of the greatest boxers ever, and clearly the greatest of our time. PEACE

I don’t have a problem with people hating Floyd, because the persona he plays up invites criticism. This persona transformed him from a decently paid fighter into one of the highest paid athletes on Earth. He’s paying a price in terms of his image, but he’s reaping tons of benefit as well. So if people want to hate him…. fine, go ahead and hate him. He’s making money from all the people who pay for his fights in hopes that he loses.

HOWEVER

What does irritate me is how people let their hate of Floyd overshadow just how great he is. Floyd just isn’t a good boxer, he’s one of the best you’ll ever see in your life. And Floyd just doesn’t roll out of bed and is great on natural talent…. he works hard…. like really really fucking hard.

Floyd’s cockiness is exceeded by his work ethic.

Floyd’s loud mouth is dwarfed by his drive for perfectionism.

He is completely driven to be the best at what he does. He doesn’t smoke, he doesn’t drink, he doesn’t gain weight between fights like most of his peers. Floyd is in a class with the Jordans, Kobes, Tigers, and Peyton Mannings…. but he doesn’t receive the same amount of respect.

And for what?… Because he runs his mouth about how many cars he has?

That’s the biggest tragedy.

If any of us were half as good at our job as he is at his job… we’d be millionaires as well.

Floyd carries all the negative stereotypes of what it means to be young, rich and black but he isn’t given credit for the work he puts in.

Mayweather / Cotto cracks top 10 live gates in Vegas

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has lived up to his “Money” nickname again.

Besides his record guaranteed purse of $32 million for his victory against Miguel Cotto (who made a career-best $8 million minimum) in their junior middleweight title bout last Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas (which, by the way, will be replayed on HBO at 10:15 p.m. ET/PT on Saturday if you somehow missed it), he and Cotto also generated one of the top 10 biggest gates in Nevada — where most of the richest fights in boxing history have taken place.

Here are the top 10 boxing gates in Nevada history:

1. Mayweather-De La Hoya (2007): $18,419,200
