Today we are proud to introduce Photoset, a new app for creating and sharing beautiful high-res photosets on your iPhone or iPad.

Photosets have been one of our favorite additions to Tumblr. You’ve surprised us a thousand times over with your creativity. It’s hard to imagine Tumblr without photos, and we love the power a set of photos has to tell a story.

The new Photoset app is an elegant way to create photosets, even if you’re not using Tumblr. Just tap and drag to lay out your photoset. Once you’ve got it just right, post to your blog or upload to photoset.com — where it can be shared with anyone, anywhere.

Really? Still doing this?

This is really Android’s fault, it’s so much easier to make an app for IOS than it is to make one for Android. iPhones are only a small handful of devices that all run the exact same version of the same software. 

Android is hundreds of different phones with different hardware running different versions of the OS. It creates so much more work for developers. It’s a pain in the ass, and its while Apple phones usually get apps first.
