Unfollowing doesn’t always fit the situation, and sometimes it’s a little bit too harsh of a representation of your feelings. Unfollowing says, “I don’t like your blog anymore”. Whereas muting just says, “I don’t feel like dealing with you today”.
I also like how Google+ lets you disable re-sharing (reblogging) of your posts. There are some instances where you don’t necessarily want to hold a discussion.
Disabling re-share/reblog is the online equivalent of putting earbuds in your ear to let other people know you don’t feel like having a conversation with them.
Last summer, Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly came to believe that his wife was romantically involved with another man. Not just any man, but a police detective in the Long Island community they call home. So O’Reilly did what any concerned husband would do: He pulled strings to get the police department’s internal affairs unit to investigate one of their own for messing with the wrong man’s lady.
Disclaimer: I have nothing against Joe Budden. He blocked me because I told him he’s in the same tax bracket as 95% of his followers. But other than that, I have nothing against him.
People been wanting me to comment on Joe Budden’s shenanigans for a minute, but the timing has never been on my side.
Now, its safe to say if you are on twitter, you are aware of Joe Budden’s stature and presence on twitter.
And to tell you the truth, as much as you may like/dislike Joe Budden, there is no denying his talent as a MC. The Mood Musik series has received critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. His storytelling abilities are astounding. His beats may be boring, but there’s no denying you pay attention to what he’s saying while he’s spitting.
And his fans? Geez
Joe Budden fans are like Raider fans. Devoted, cyncial, and a crazy as fuck if you push them too much. He’s polarizing to a degree, and until I got on twitter, I never realized that.
Ever since his departure from Def Jam, Joe Budden goes thru life like a disgruntled unemployed veteran. And his approach to music has never been the same since.
But notwithstanding that, the majority of us have the same issue with Budden.
We wish he would get off the couch and look for a job and not make Unemployment Music.
What’s unemployment music you ask?
Check this out.
Most of us don’t have a problem with Joe Budden’s music at all. We have a problem with his APPROACH to making music.
And his APPROACH is eerliy simliar to what a voluntarily unemployed person.
When you make unemployment music, you can be on twitter all day, you can date video vixens, play slapboxing, then make a record about the slapboxing. Then laugh about it. Then simp in their DMs…
When you make unemployment music, you can find time to sit on a pregnant woman and see what happens? Too far? OK
When you make unemployment music, you can fly to Atlanta to probably get your ass whooped. Then reschedule. Then probably reschedule again. Then lose our respect.
These are things people with no jobs and a lot of money does. People with actual LIVES and responsibilities don’t have time to engage in these antics. You don’t need that bro. You are 50 cent, except with no money and more time to kill.
I may be hating on him, but secretly, I’m rooting for him to shut the fuck up on twitter and make another “Skyscraper.”
That's why when people say that Catholics and Christians are the same, I say No they aren't. God prohibts a lot of things, but sex is not one of them (besides the whole pre-martial sex thing). God's exact words was to "be fruitful and multiply".
I’m going to use that line the next time a woman is hesitant to have sex with me.
"Well baby, God’s exact words were "to be fruitful and multiply"…. you wouldn’t want to reject the word of God….. would you?”
I don’t commit a lot of spelling errors, what I do is far worse.
Instead of misspelling something, I tend to completely replace the word I was intending to use with something else which makes me look like a fucking retard.
Instead of the normal error that looks like this:
"I went to the store and bouhgt a pack of crackers"
My errors tend to look like this:
"I went to the store and boned a pack of crackers"
The bad part of this is, spell check doesn’t recognize what I did because everything is written correctly. Therefore, at least 10 or 15 minutes will go by without me even realizing that I made an error.
In regards to that Vatican post, I read a bio on an ex-Jesuit priest (Alberto Rivera, I recommend checking it out) from Spain who said that the nuns not only had sex with priests but also other nuns. And also they found excavated tunnels underneath the convents and such of where they buried the aborted babies.
omg that’s fucking insane!
I respect religion, I really do…. but I am of the opinion that denying yourself sex is simply unnatural. We all have sexual desires and I don’t understand why there has to be such shame attached to it.
This is one of those situations where outlawing a particular action creates a dark underbelly where terrible things happen. You could compare this to the war on drugs. If things like marijuana were legal it would wipe out a significant amount of the violence that goes on as a result of the black market.
Michael Vick's 6-Year $100 Million Dollar Contract
This is absolutely amazing.
This man was a multi-millionaire with a $120 million dollar contract, multiple endorsements, was the face of the NFL …. and he lost EVERYTHING. Not only did he lose all his money, he was at least $5-7 million dollars in debt upon release from prison.
His so-called closest friends snitched on him to the feds, the media was after his head, there were a lot of people who didn’t even want him back in the NFL. There were even “Experts” and journalists who said Michael Vick should convert to Wide Receiver upon returning back to the game of football.
So what does Vick do?
Ball out of fucking control, somehow battle back from being the 3rd string emergency QB to the starting job and earns a new $100 million dollar contract.
A lot of niggas would have crumbled under that pressure. It’s an amazing story… it really is.
And this is coming from a pet owner…. I love animals and I think what Vick did was pretty disgusting. But I believe in forgiveness, and I believe in second chances… and I think he’s redeemed himself by completely changing his lifestyle as well as the charity work he’s doing in the inner city.
The reports, five in all, indicate that in Africa particularly, a continent ravaged by HIV and AIDS, young nuns are sometimes seen as safe targets of sexual activity. In a few extreme instances, according to the documentation, priests have impregnated nuns and then encouraged them to have abortions.
